NJYP is in search for a talented college or grad student with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for design to be accepted into our internship. This 8-week (minimum) program offers mentoring from those at the top of their game, networking and real-world experience in a fun, start-up like environment. As part of our team, you will work on meaningful and impactful projects, be part of our family, meet experienced designers and connect with real business owners in our local area.

Purpose:

This person will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Senior Designer, must have the ability to be a self-starter and work independently as well as with a team. The right candidate will assist the Design Team in completion of short-term projects, aid in the creation of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities: Intern Duties Include:

Assist Design team with necessary deliverables

• Production Graphics
• Email Design Concept and Creation
• Coupon Creation
• Qr Code Generation

Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Understanding of user centered methodologies and practice
• Experience in digital design, especially tablet and mobile
• Demonstrated skill with design and/or prototyping
• Organized and detailed oriented
• Ability to communicate clearly – oral and written
• Samples of work – Online portfolio is appreciated

Working knowledge/experience with the following software/skills

• Typography
• Html
• Css
• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• Dreamweaver(or similar text editor)
